Residents Affected by Flooding in Lubang Buaya Receive Assistance

The East Jakarta Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), provided food assistance to residents affected by the flooding in the RT 13/09 Lubang Buaya area, Cipayung, Monday (9/9) night.

No residents were evacuated due to this incident

This area was flooded to a height of around 80 - 90 centimeters, due to the very high intensity of rain and the connecting channel being unable to accommodate the water discharge.

East Jakarta Branch PMI's Public Relations and Communication Section Head, Agus Bastian said the assistance was provided because of a request from the urban village.

Assistance Disbursed to Pejambon Fire Survivors

"We assisted last night at the request of the urban village. Symbolically, the assistance was received by the sub-district and forwarded to residents affected by the flooding," he expressed, Tuesday (9/10).

He explained the assistance provided was in the form of 300 pieces of bread, 15 boxes of mineral water, two boxes of M-size diapers, one box of S-size, and two boxes of L-size.

Lubang Buaya Urban Village Head, Dede Syaipullah added the flooding in his area occurred at around 6.30 PM and receded at around 10 PM.

"No residents were evacuated due to this incident," he stated.
